for Abel Tasman
Abel Tasman Youth Ambassadors (ATYA) connects rangatahi chosen from three primary and three secondary schools with the Abel Tasman National Park through practical conservation, exploration and shared experiences. Students take an active part in caring for the park, build confidence and develop their leadership skills.
Practical conservation
Get involved in caring for the park through fish monitoring, checking the results of weed control and other practical conservation activities.
Connection with the park
Spend time exploring Abel Tasman, asking questions and discovering the places, plants and wildlife that make it special.
